Phoebe Kim is from northern New Jersey and is studying government, economics, and English. Phoebe joined mock trial because she wanted to do something thrilling with brilliant people she can learn from. That’s a big ask, but the Dartmouth Mock Trial team does all that and more. She loves mock trial because she gets to work with incredible teammates— even better friends—, whose diverse talents and kindness make her a better person every day. On campus, Phoebe is involved in the Political Economy Project, The Dartmouth Exchange, Dartmouth Law Journal, and The Dartmouth Subtleties. She also conducts research for the Sexual Violence Prevention Project, peer tutors at The Writing Center, teaches test-prep classes, and does some freelance writing. For fun, Phoebe bakes without a recipe, writes poetry about mishaps in her kitchen, paints, eats a whole lot of yogurt, walks towards the sunset, reads really sad books, and binges sappy rom-coms. Phoebe’s favorite mock memory is Chestnut Hill regionals— playa bowls, cross drills in hotel lobbies, team dinner (best naan of her life), learning to pump gas… all of it.
