Carter Anderson ‘26
Program Captain (she/her)
carter.d.anderson.26@dartmouth.edu
Carter is a Government and Computational Linguistics major who hails from Blaine, Minnesota. He participated in debate in high school, but decided to switch things up and try out for Mock Trial at Dartmouth because he saw objections and thought they looked cool. He had never done Mock Trial, and hoped to develop his public speaking abilities in a more realistic setting. Carter stayed, however, because of the uniquely intimate character of the team. His most prized memories at Dartmouth are the late-night film watch parties at Aquinas, completely taking over Rocky on weeknights for practice and on weekends for practice trials, and bouncing from singing our hearts out to deep conversation while traveling to and from tournaments. Carter says that “joining this club didn’t just give me a team, but welcomed me into a family that has shaped my Dartmouth experience.”
When he’s not giving openings or cross-examinations, you can find Carter cycling around Lake Mascoma, hiking the Pemi-loop, or on a woccom. He also volunteers as an Educational Access Advisor with SEAD, is a War & Peace Fellow at the Dickey Center, and does research in the Gov department.
