After another selective audition process, we welcomed a class of seven amazing new Nebs! We’re incredibly excited to see them grow and flourish this year on our team. Here are some brief intros:
Kavneer Majhail ‘29
Kavneer is a prospective Engineering and Government major from Tennessee. His hobbies include eating good food, listening to music, and coding. On campus, he’s involved in the DOC, policy debate, and SEAD. If he could have dinner with any one person, it’d be Chris Stapleton (a very Nashville answer!) His favorite building on campus is the Steele building, and his hidden talent is that he can wiggle his ears. The part of mock he’s most excited for is the team culture.
George Zaghbaba ‘29
George is a prospective Economics and Government major from California. His hobbies include playing basketball, lifting weights, cooking, pickleball, and spending time with friends and family. On campus, he’s also on the club basketball team. His favorite spot on campus is the Cube. His hidden talent is that he can spin a basketball on his finger for 2 minutes (which will come in handy for our post-practice basketball runs!)
Violet Philhower ‘29
Violet is a prospective Government and Economics major from California. Her hobbies include backpacking, crafting, thrifting, frolicking (a major mock trial pastime), and reading non-fiction. On campus, she’s involved in Great Issues Scholars, Dartmouth Dems, Spare Rib, and Cabin and Trail. If she could have dinner with any one person it’d be Jenna Ortega. Her favorite spot on campus is the upstairs Foco booths, and her hidden talent is being able to listen to Coconut Mall for 8+ hours without going insane.
Zahra Djidda ‘29
Zahra is a prospective Government and Sociology major from France. Her hobbies include reading, writing, painting, and reels rotting. On campus, she’s a Great Issues Scholar and a part of the Questbridge Network. Her favorite spot on campus is the Tower Room, with an honorable mention to the North Park common rooms. One B-side superpower she’d like to have is being able to read 10 pages a minute while still understanding them (a great skill to have when new case changes drop!) The part of mock she’s most excited more is to meet her fellow teammates.
Michael Ross ‘29
Michael is a prospective Government major from Florida. His hobbies include basketball, football, singing, and woodworking. On campus, he’s involved in the Cords (hopefully this’ll be the year we finally start a mock-cappella group!) If he could have dinner with any one person, it’d be Jalen Hurts (shout out Ben Spears ‘27.) His hidden talent is that he used to be a sponsored fingerboarder. A B-side superpower he’d like to have is never getting distracted by reels.
Sukhmani Nijjar ‘29
Sukhmani is a prospective PPE major from Texas. Her hobbies include knitting, yoga, taking naps, eating, and finding new ways to fold her laundry. On campus, he’s involved in the Dartmouth Law Journal and the Dartmouth Minority Pre-Law Association. If she could have dinner with any one person, it’d be Princess Diana. One B-side superpower she’d like to have is always knowing whether a coin flip will land on heads or tails (hopefully she can use that superpower to tell us whether prosecution or defense will go first at competitions!) The part of mock she’s most excited for is competing and meeting her friends on other teams.
Anna McDonald ‘29
Anna is a prospective PPE major from Missouri. Her hobbies include sewing, writing, making book nooks, and photography. On campus, she’s involved in Dartmouth Dems and the Jack-o-Lantern. Her favorite spot on campus is the East Reading Room, and a B-side superpower she’d like to have is to always give the perfect gift. The part of mock she’s most excited for is having the opportunity to meet everyone (there’ll be plenty of opportunities for that!)
