Goodbye Seniors, Hello Alumni!
On Sunday June 11th, our beloved Mock Trial ‘23s and ‘22+1s walked across the graduation stage and joined the ranks of the Dartmouth alumni community. We are so proud of Annmarie Allos ‘23, Bella Dunbar ‘23, Fiona Sleigh ‘23, Hayden Welty ‘23, Jack Nassau ‘22, Paridhi Kapadia ‘23, Alexander/Sasha Kokoshinskiy ‘22, and Vanessa Haggans ‘23 for all that they have achieved in their four (or more) years at Dartmouth, and we can’t wait to see what they do in the future! With their next destinations including Bain & Company, Bridgewater Associates, and Cornell Law School, we know bright things are in store for each of them.
The whole Mock Trial team owes much of our success this year to the graduating class. In Fall, the ‘23s captained both our teams to 1st and 4th place at the UMass Amherst Commonwealth Classic Invitational. The victories continued throughout Winter, with both teams earning bids to the Open Round Championship Series, and many members earning individual awards as witnesses and attorneys.
Outside of Mock Trial, the ‘23s and ‘22s were leaders and active participants in Greek Life, Raaz dance group, the Women in Science Program, the Dartmouth Social Impact Center, the Dartmouth Golf Team, Undergraduate Advising, the Rockefeller Center, RWIT Peer Tutoring, the Admissions Office, Ski Patrol, Undergraduate Research, and more!
The Class of ‘23 also displayed impressive academic achievement with members Hayden Welty, Bella Dunbar, and Vanessa Haggans successfully completing and defending senior theses in English, Government, and Biology. Additionally, Hayden Welty was honored as a Class Salutatorian!
The seniors’ leadership and talent allowed the team to advance further than we’ve gotten in the past decade, ending the 2022-23 season just one ballot away from qualifying for Nationals. As we say goodbye to our seniors, we commit ourselves to continuing the strong legacy that they leave behind, and we expect them to visit often!
